As Melbourne’s longest running Systema school we have the experience and knowledge to teach you martial arts in the most efficient, effective and enjoyable way.

Since opening in 2006 we have continued to grow and develop as a martial arts school enabling us to create a fun, safe, challenging, ego-free, non-competitive environment to maximise your learning experience.

From day one you will be encouraged to work from your inherent strengths to create a style that you can personalise to suit your ever changing needs.

The students at Melbourne Systema are a friendly bunch. There’s computer programmers, office workers, salesmen, nurses, tradies…really just a group of regular people brought together to improve their health and fitness while learning to defend themselves.

When you first join Melbourne Systema, you’ll be welcomed with open arms into our community. You’ll make new friends and form lasting relationships with your fellow students and instructors both on and off the mat. Best of all you will experience firsthand how martial arts training can enrich and change your life unlike anything else you may have tried before.

We strive to provide a training environment is fun, positive and safe, ideal for people with no martial arts background and is an excellent complementary skill set for officers in law enforcement, security guards, as well as experienced practitioners of any martial art background.

We understand that martial art training is very different to any other form of fitness activity and is often a life changing journey for most people.  Therefore our focus is on creating a welcoming and judgement free environment where students with a variety of abilities and goals can come together and become long term members of our community.
